If you want all the details on how to do so, follow this link:

For all you newbies who want to be caught up on the greatest sport to exist, I would suggest taking a look at that link. Now, I'm not going to tell you how to become a hockey fan... but I will break down this amazing informative article for you. If you haven't gotten the purpose of this article yet, I'll make it nice and clear: the steps to become what they define "a hockey fan". It was written for anyone and everyone who has ever wished to become a fan of hockey. Whether it was to follow a certain team, to impress someone, or just jump on the bandwagon; it was written for people like you and me (except not really me because I'm already a fan, go Devils!) but you get what I'm saying.

Ok, so I know you're already asking, how do we know this article and steps are the real deal? Well, the author did use some rhetorical appeals such as ethos, logos, and pathos. She clearly stated she knows the rules of hockey. Archuleta started off with some basic rules by explaining minor and major penalties. She also expressed her knowledge in the basics of hockey and other aspects of the game. The article was also formatted in a very logical order starting from the beginning of knowing nothing to becoming a fan, progressing in each step. And finally, Archuleta appealed to the audience well. Using a casual tone, you miss the feeling of being overwhelmed. This article allows you to be creative with what you agree/disagree with and isn't biased towards teams/players.

Because this article was found on a website, the medium is digital. The modes are written and visual due to the many pictures displayed with each step. The clearly stated steps also help accentuate the article's purpose. They allow you to read ahead and can keep the reader interested for longer. Although this is an informative article, it can also fit as a podcast. Because its casual, it can be seen as something sports announcers would read or discuss between news and games.
