Narrative Genre

This picture shows a solider stopping in the middle of a forest to play an abandoned piano. The purpose of it is to show that even when humans are at their worst, they can still find beauty in things. It also shows that there is a balance to life; the good and bad. The purpose is also to sympathize with this solider. Rgardless of what side he is on, it explains the story of the soldier and how he would stop to play something beautiful, from life at home, in the midst of the war he's in. The audience is geared toward those in favor of war and on any local of worldwide newspapers. I see this picture more as a current events picture or shot you would see on magazines or newspapers. The rhetorical appeal used is pathos because the photographer's intent is to evoke our emotions. Like said before, the picture makes us sympathize with the solider and also feel sadness. The media and mode is visual and digital because I accessed it on the internet and you really have to look at the picture to understand what is going on. The style of the picture is the focus is primary on the solider and piano while the background is blurred. The colors of the picture are also dark and gloomy which was probably created by a filter. The colors tie in with the emotions felt. This picture can be adapted to a movie by reacting the photo to show the meaning behind it. The picture can also be described.
